ewalla ... 'notherone of your expressive and imposing images...

btw... I followed the link to your photo reportage. Have seen it four times now and have shown it to a steelworker I know! That is really good. Sometimes I am lost for words. And allthough I didn't understand one word, the voices, background sounds and pics inspired my thoughts.
I can feel the heat and the hard work. And I can see the exhaustion in the eyes of the men. But as well I can see some kind of affinity.

I love the image with the godrays!
And the one the steelworker ignites his cigarette at the burning ... ehm is it slag?

and ... OMG... what happend to the other one? was this an industrial accident?

thanks for this comment my friend...
in two years time we became friends with this workers, they are great...
in the voice record they explain(tell) what you see, ı select photographs for their words...

here is the explanation of accident:
The man in the photograph had had an accident at work and undergone 5 subsequent operations within five months when his photo was taken. What happened was a tragic accident at an iron workshop. An iron profile released from the hot furnace stuck into his stomach and ripped his intestines. After the operations, he is getting better now, working in the same place and answering the calls. His belly still looks spongy and the doctors say it will take 2 years to get over it completely. As he only consented me to publish his photos provided that his face would not be displayed, I ethically don’t put other photographs that I have taken and I am uploading this photograph only for the purpose of demonstrating the work’s extreme austerity and how challenging it is to go all out for making one’s living rather than making judgments by just looking from a distance.

You have done a pretty good job on that intension!
I love this kind of reportage. So many people just stay at the surface and judge on others without knowing, without thinking. That's why it's so important to have a look behind the scenes.
It is almost unbelievable among which circumstances these men do their job. I pay tribute to all of them.
... and once more I'm lost of words... it is a wonder, that this badly injured man is still alive and that he is already working. I pray for his speedy and entirely recovery.

selamlar sevgiler istanbul a...
