Personal Thoughts
I have to say, this is one I've been quite “dedicated” to, a rarity, really, considering that most of the time I'm dreading the starting and rushing the finish...but not with this one.
Inspired by Kelly Clarkson's "Miss Independent". [Condensed the lyrics]

About the Work
Honestly, I put my all in this one. I have used almost every single manipulation technique I know of in this, and have put a lot of heart in it. In fact, I don't really care if I win or not, I really love this, and am awfully proud of it (even though it took me 72 layers).

Well let's see. it's really quite nice to look at.
Pros:
-The white horse's tail is very well done!
Again you choice of colors is impeccable.
That sky is to die for
muscle definition is well done
Cons:
The sky should reflect off the water.
the grounding of the white horse needs improvement. You need to redraw the front left and back right hoofs.
The black horse has the black line through it's neck...it's a little weird.
Lighting is off on bother horses.
The black horse's head and neck is really dark black and the rest is grey..a little weird
I'd redraw the white horse's eye
White horse needs a shadow
The black horse's mane and tail should be blowing to the left since the white horse's hair is
Your watermark could be less prominent

Well it seems very real, like I'm there, watching. The only thing is maybe for you're next horse in water like this one, maybe make some small white caps by the legs to make it more realistic

I like the whole image, the sky and the water really set the mood, the poses of the horses are wonderful, especially the white one and the colour is fantastic it really brings the whole thing to life
