Love it! As you may have guessed, I'm fond of turk's heads.

Having rigged a couple turks heads myself, I can say that that is one patient model! Can take a while to do something smaller, but I'd bet is was still fun.

We were both grumbling by the end, but it was worth the effort.

Definately!
I was looking at it and at the Celtic Corset image thinking if one could combine this with the adjustable binding from the corset it could make a sweet cincher, & now I'm eyeing my ropes,... Like I need more to do!

Heh. That would be pretty awesome to combine the two. I think we might now be in a race to see who can do it first.

This is really really cool. I love the 'extra large exploded' look of seeing knot work done with large rope. It really shows off the beauty of the weaving.

I had the opportunity to meet Loren Damewood at a con this past summer. I have one of the cotton cord bracelets that he hands out; I wear it all the time. I hope to take one of his classes someday.

Loren's awesome, isn't he

We still have our cotton bracelets too, but they've gotten pretty dirty since he first made them.

Oh yeah, he's really cool. He was wearing his shirt made of little celtic knots, and I asked him about it. That's how I met him. He's got some incredible talent, too.

My bracelet gets pretty dirty, but I wash it every week, with a laundry detergent. Helps keep it pretty. I get a lot of questions about it, and I always give them his website.

Wow, thanks a lot man, lol. I took one look at this pic and did a couple searches online. No my head's all tied up in "Golden Knots" trying to figure out what I can replicate in wire.

Oh gawd, another addiction to go with the maille...... noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo hooo!!!

Our friend Loren Damewood gives workshops for tying knots like these in wire. His website Golden Knots has a lot of information as well as a schedule of his workshops around the US. I highly recommend going to one of them!

I don't know much about knots, but I do know that this would be really cool if you did manage to turn it into a dress.

Phong,

Wonderful design, glad to see that you gave it another shot. I know you had some issues with tying that knot last night. I can see a couple of ideas for turning that into a dress, linking a bunch of knots together like Loren's necklace. Need to work in a way to get it on and off. B)

That must have taken a while. Very nice rope work but not very practical as far as the fetish side of it goes. Provided that was what you were going for, it covers too much skin... On the other hand, if you want a way-out-there artsy approach, you could completely cover her head to toe in knotwork. I know, it's a crazy idea, but it would be fun to see despite how long it would take to do. Keep up the work though.

Yeah, Mer and I already have a grand plan to work this into a dress design. We'll need more rope though

Gotta admit,
Crafts, Fashion and Fetish all in one shot. That's impressive.

Nice knotwork too by the way.
