The microbug was supposed to be a bee until I noticed that the size of the bee compared to the flower would be way too small. XDRose Faery ( and blue roses don't even exists ! ahahah) sitting and watching the bug. This piece didn't come out quite like I wanted it, but I still put more effort in this one than in the last submissions I made. Fact is that colored inks always ask much more of me because I'm still a beginner at it.
highlights were done with white acrylics. Colors inks on Hi-Art Board.

I concur with all the comments on the wings and petals and lines on her hands and feet, but I love her little fat butt!
And she does look very much like she belongs in one of those published Faerie books. I'll bet you could be hired as one of their illustrators!

She looks lovely and your comment about the bee/microbug made me laugh! I think it worked out well this way. The blue rose is fitting in it's rareness because I think faeries and microbugs are pretty rare too!

Isn't it possable to take a white rose and use foodclolring to turn it blue?I thing you have to kill it to do so though.Unless you can add the coloring through the water...

I've started to see faeries this way: not only do they have wings but I thought it would be neat to say that those wings would also be camouflage! So if they need to hide, they just need to lay on the ground!
