Description I have been wanting to really try acrylics again for a while. A friend was kind enough to suggest me a good brand of acrylics to work with and I also decided to work something smaller on a watercolor paper instead of on a canvas. I am extremely surprised with the results! Make me wonder if I should switch to acrylics for good for some kinds of subjects!

so beautiful, you have a great style...have you tried guache? sorta like a mix of watercolour and acrylic...or at any rate a more opaque watercolour..if you haven't check it out

Thank you very much!

I do have some gouache with me yes, though I really like the mix of watercolour and acrylics better than the gouache. I think I haven't found a good brand yet. The gouache I have doesn't have bright colours. =/

Cat head, human eye - for once, not the opposite. A touching piece, long live the "Random Deviation" button!

I like how you use acrylics. It looks a bit like guache. Very nice colours! Monochromatic, but not at all overpowering. And a lovely cat to boot.

Acrylics on watercolor paper? That came out really well! And it's probably cheaper than going out and buying canvas or canvas board to paint on.

That kitty makes me think of the Queen of Hearts playing card. ^^

your acrylics are just as lovely as your watercolor. i looove the reddish colors in this. have you ever read the picture book 'the white cat'? it reminds me very much of that with its warm illustrations :]

Interesting work,I especially really like the way you did the crown. It's a nice surpise as well - it's slightly different from your usual style and subject matter, even though you can still feel a link.
