And about time too.
I love His Dark Materials for its wit, plot, tragedy and critical portrayal of fanatical religious leaders.
I think I actually love HDM more than I love Harry Potter. It aims a bit higher, I think. It is not a series you can easily read at age 12, for instance. I tried, gave up and forgot all about it. Then, 5 years later, I started reading "Northern Lights" again out of boredom and before I knew it, I'd fallen completely in love with the books.
Wow. Rant much?

Anyhoo, this is the witch-queen Serafina Pekkala. Kaisa's off somewhere, because I'm rubbish at drawing birds.
I'll upload the coloured version too, but only in Scaps, because this one's better.
