A Shadow Matriarch explains their relative power-level to an overconfident Succubus.

Another piece of fanart for Heroes of Might & Magic V, which I finally finished yesterday. Both creature designs are taken right from the game, including some bits I disliked (such as the Succubus's gauntlet-like hands). The only concession to my paper size was the absence of the Succubus's wings... I couldn't fit them in without obscuring the rest of the picture or extending them off of the page, so this is the rare "wingless" Succubus.

I'm thinking of trying to color this in a simple, cell-shaded style... it would be a lot faster than trying to do it fully and it might fit better with the heavy black outlines.
