Description

Well, here they are! For reaching 300 watchers last Friday night, I present to you all the Retro-7! During my teenage years, I was getting more into storytelling. Stuff like movies and shows and fanfictions, etc. It was at this point that I started getting more into animation and creating characters for potential cartoons, which would lead to the creation of the Starlights when I was fifteen. At seventeen, when I started drawing more, I had the bright idea of creating characters out of video game consoles! That was when I discovered an anime called Sega Hard Girls where Mega Drive, Saturn, and Dreamcast are now school girls going through various Sega games new and old, and then I decided to make what I refer to as a Gumball version of it where I make the consoles themselves characters in their own unique world (which takes place in, get this, the imagination of the consoles being sold at a game shop)!

This includes the Sega Genesis (US version of the Mega Drive) as well as the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast (who I’ve shown before, but not with her eyes open), and then I went an extra mile and drew Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, and Sony PlayStation! How did I get this lineup? Simple, really: I made it after a talk with mom about getting a Dreamcast (which I did later on) and I started thinking to myself about some other potential consoles I could get later down the line (though I did get an N64 before a Dreamcast)! Of course, I thought about other consoles I could also collect for (which I’ve wanted to do since I was 10 going on 11), but these were the first to come to mind, so this was what I went with for my team of crime fighting consoles! This is the only drawing I’m releasing this month not under my whole Sonic event going on right now.
