I took the chance today to go out and snap a few shots of a building behind my place of work that I've admired for years. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago it was damaged in a serious fire. (For photos of the fire, please visit the Record Herald website .) While this ruins my chances for shots of what the actual building looked like beforehand, it still gave me a rather unique experience.

I gained permission from the owner beforehand, as long as I didn't get too close to the building. Bricks were still dangerously close to falling, so I kept my distance, hence why there are not as many closeups as I would have liked. Safety first, kids! A team of men were cutting up the wood inside the building while I was there. I'm not sure how long it will take them to clear all of this out. The building is clearly beyond repair, but they've got a loooong way to go before they can clear everything out.
