The book is rather melodramatic, but I still certainly remember loving it XD Enjoy, haha. Pierre is one of my most favourite characters, I'm sad he's been skipped in so many adapations!Β

Indeed, Pierre is a great character who never gets the proper character adaptation that the other characters do. However, the best adapted Gringoire has to be the French 1950s version, with the live action 90s in a close second. (The one where Dumbledore plays Frollo).

I'm almost sure I've seen this, or at least one, back in the day. I was always happy to see something, anything, closer to the actual book. Don't get my wrong, with such a broad plotline, adaptation needs to pick and mix what it wants and what not, but taking out Pierre and Jehan Frollo is just bwuh! You don't know what you're missing with side characters until you encounter them, I guess!

Gosh! I adore the way Gringoire teases Claude all the time. And you picture is perfect! "God, WHY, WHY?!" I love it!

I even laughed at that scene in the book - awkward meter was beyond measure xD This comic is perfect!

I did too, I simply loved that scene - every scene where you had conversation with Pierre or Jehan was just pure pricelesness xD

So true! I wished they had put Jehan into more adaptions, such as the Notre-Dame musical. A whole number with Jehan nagging Claude about the nonsense scribbled on his walls and Claude beating around the bush all manic would be so hilarious.

I absolutely love this comic! Very close to the book. I like how Gringoire is drawn very simple while Frollo has some detail.

Yes, Gringoire is a funny character! The one thing I find that is really out of character about him is that he chose Djali to save rather than Esme. You know, the noble guys would save the girl and die in the end( moral principles and that). But Gringoire isn't noble: he's just a man trying to live. maybe if he loved Esme more, he would have chosen her. But no, he went with his heart and chose the one goat he adored so much.
Am I the only one who finds this moment actually deep and beautiful? Or am I just crazy? Or both?

I loved that scene XD It really seems to come out of nowhere but on the other hand - it was much easier for him to love a likable animal, than a, well, just a silly girl that brought a lot of trouble upon herself. IT seems both totally out of character for him and sudden, and then again, really quite fitting. He is a pihlosopher and an artist, so I suppose he has the right to be eccentric!

Oh, those eccentric poets! It's sorta of like a dramatic/funny scene.
