I've always felt Disney could do better with this epic tale than the last people who tried.Jim Eckert's fiancée, Angie, is transported into another dimension by a science experiment gone terribly wrong. Following her, Jim finds himself trapped in an alternate version of 13th-Century England, in a world where magic is both real and deadly. Worse, he finds himself trapped inside the body of a young male cliff dragon named Gorbash. Learning that Angie has been spirited away by the rogue dragon Bryagh to be a gift to the forces of evil, Jim sets out to find and rescue her. Guided by the mentorship of the wizard Carolinus, as well as Smrgol, Gorbash's maternal-great-uncle, Jim sets out on his quest. On his way, he is joined by Sir Bryan Neville-Smyth, an idealistic young knight, and Aragh, a giant sentient wolf. Aided by his new friends, Jim must learn to control his draconic powers and save Angie, to say nothing of restoring his human form and hopefully finding a way back home.

The George? What's a george? This sounds neat. ^_^ Another dimension, scientific experiments, an alternate 13th century, and finding himself not as himself. I like the sound of those things. It sounds like a movie I've heard of... Though, it sounds more interesting.

Smrgol's crest IS just a thin layer of skin between the spines on his back. It's all in the details. Plate armor isn't one solid piece. It connects in a dozen different ways.

Correction, Flight of Dragons is loosely based on this book, combined with another book by that title by Peter Dickson. Look it up.
