Mighty Andromeda was one of the most cheerful and carefree members of the Legion of Justice. When she arrived from the future to 2018 everyone greeted her warmly, only one hero, Booster Gold, wasn't glad that she arrived - because she arrived to kill him. In her native 26 century Andromeda was really cheerful and carefree, her Daxamite genes made her incredibly strong and durable, and because of her dormant human genes Andromeda, or Maxine Hunkel, wasn't as allerfgic to lead as true-blood Daxamites (although that mede her physically a bit weaker). But that changed when the Crime Syndicate from Earth-3 attacked her Earth. It was then when Clark Kent took the suit of Booster Gold from the museum and escaped to the past, to smile for cameras and advertise soft drinks. Hundreds of people were killed by Crime Syndicate, Legion of Justice needed every fighter - but instead of using the suit to fight the Syndicate Kent escaped. In Andromeda's view that made him responsible for those deaths he could have prevented. That made Maxine Hunkel bitter and effectively killed off her cheerful nature - and she promised to take Booster's life as a punishment for his "treason".
