Dane Dorrance's father was a fraud. Posing as a telepath and using various tricks and hidden devices he made people pay him for "prophesies". It is ironic, then, that his own son was born a natural telepath. Dane's powers grew every year, as well as his contempt for superheroes and supervillains constantly fighting each oither and destgroying the citizens' propertty in their fights. One day Dane decided to use his telepathic powers to stop the vicious cycle of violence in the world of capes and masks. He became the Brainwave - an anti-hero who battles the criminals with the power of his mind. His mpowers aren't something to look at and marvel - but they work and that's what matters.
