You nailed it almost perfect. Hair looks to be a slightly (SLIGHTLY) different hue though.
FLCL was pretty much the ultimate anime. Alas, it's shortness....

slightly,true, true. That's actually the sharpie flesh tone, but I thought, hey, it looks pretty good *these were the days before I bought Letraset markers.* Ya, FLCL rocked the socks off the typical anime, and the shortness made me sad, but I don't know what they could have done to make it better??

You use markers huh? I've never tried anything like that, just pen's and photoshop. I tried to use colored pencils before, but, welllllll.... It turned out like this [link]

Not bad, not bad. I did "Maid" in colored pencil and then outlined it with a plain old pilot pen. I can't stand not having things outlined. Marker is my personal favorite medium though. My style is sharp and jagged and Sharpies actually make that style look okay, at least in my book.
