What is this?
June 17, 2013 marked the beginning of the fifth annual 50-50, an art marathon hosted annually by Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California. 69 local artists were selected to each create fifty small works of art in fifty days. They will be diplayed in a 7x7 grid with the 50th set to the side, like so: dennyhollandstudio.blogspot.co…
My chosen theme is "Bioforms," Bic ballpoint pen on Canson "classic cream" drawing paper, 6x6 in. Each will be mounted on a rigid particle board backing. Here I will illustrate scientific concepts and explore the organic forms and patterns found in nature.

One of my favorites too, partly because it doesn't affect humans, thank god! Still, imagine catching a fish for dinner and finding this thing in its mouth.

Ha ha, that reminds me of an article I saw once about someone who bought some fish from a supermarket and found one inside it. I'd be excited if that happened to me.
