a few of my buddies asked for me to take WIP pictures when I mentioned I was making a Yusei wig, so I did :3
I hope the tips I threw in there are helpful for cosplayers who need some wig styling ideas.
One thing I forgot to throw in there: use gravity to your advantage! I didn't really have to do it for Yusei, but for wigs where you have to get spikes that stick straight up in the air, pin the wig to the styrofoam head and hang it upside down while you style it (that's how I pulled off my Yami wig) XD

I checked out both tutorials and I think they are really helpful (especially the second)!
I've noticed the orange things from Yusei's jacket lying in the background of some of your photos...I really wonder how to make them. Could you tell me please? I would be soooooo grateful if you could give me some tips!! I may be good in sewing, but I'm such a loser when it comes to crafting things...>_<

This is AMAZING! You really did a fantastic job. That is a quality cosplay wig.
Question: How does Aqua Net stack up against Got2B Glued? I've been using Got2B and it's a little heavy so I'm wondering if I should make the switch.

This tutorial is pretty old lol; I have a link in the comments box for the newer tutorial.
When I started using Got2B, I never went back to Aqua net; I always thought Got2B stuck better. If it's too heavy, then try using it more sparingly; it doesn't take a whole lot to do the job. The reason I use glue in the very tips of the spikes is because it helps hold them together well enough that I don't need as much hairspray.

amazing! i styled my first wig (shippuden Sasuke) a few weeks back, came out ok but some parts were cut too short :/. hopefully in the future i'll be able to style them as amazingly as you!

Yu-Gi-Oh series probably has the most strange hairstyles of all but I have to say you nailed this one! It looks very good, best what I have seen - EVER! So you can be proud of our wig styling skills. And I'm very happy you share these WIP photos with us. It helps a lot other cosplayers.

I had them leftover from when I styled my Yami wig. I think they were from Doctored Locks, but you can also get them on Amphigory or some local wig shops

I'd go with 7 myself after I tried to style the spikes. They just wouldn't stay up D: Though this has been my first time styling a wig.
