Description
A concept visual of my eventual tattoo. The base image is by the excellent ~ToolUsingAnimal [link] , a Celtic Tree of Life. It symbolizes the cycles of life, as the branches intertwine with the roots and vice versa. The words are the 4 Virtues I chose to represent myself, as follows:

Stärke - Strength (German)
Onóre - Honor (Italian)
Scientia - Wisdom (Latin)
Deírc - Charity (Gaelic)

This image is just what I cobbled together with the original piece ([link] ) and some Photoshop CS playing around. Starke will actually be runic, and Deirc will be more like traditional Gaelic type, more rounded and stout. Onore will have more of a calligraphic lilt to it, and Scientia should be a bit more starkly Roman.

Ideally, the knotwork will be interwoven with the words.

In essence, it will only look roughly like this The final design will of course depend on the skill of the tattoo artist.
