Wow, nice. Would you say your style of spacecraft belongs to 'ye Good Old Terra'-type - meaning like you see in Starcraft, Battlestar Galactica, etc. - or would you say its something different? Regardless, I like it.

I would say so. My idea of what a terran ship should look like came from watching Babylon 5.
The earth ships always had a grey dirty metal look to them.

This could be better improved by making a more glorious background and nice post photoshoping on the outpost. But overall its a very good render.

just wondering what kind of function those long pylons serve since i dont see docking ports in them so they arent for bigger ships then what are they

it has some similarities to one colony and supply station in x-wing alliance except this one looks far more better

Damn cool structure!! Do you have any tips on doing the windows? Do you UV map them or use a material? How do you go about making a lightmap to make them glow? Is there a generic way to do it that works for all uv maps so it can be used in different programs? Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Well for complex stuff like this I don't like using UV maps. (It turns into a really pain)
The windows are just a repeating planar map and the glow is just a luminosity map with an alpha map so the whole hall does not glow.

I still have a lot of work on the city to do. (I still have to add different insides for each dome and finish texture mapping.)

Look's pretty good!! I want to do like 20 blocks soo I can use some for up close and sometimes use it for far away shots. I would also like to be able to mix and match soo I don't have to make another one.
