To me if its wasn't forged in Kyoto by a master I myself would not buy it...but that's just me. Still it is pleasing to the eye.

probably not that much, if I recognize this one correctly, it is a "Seigi", a wallhanger made of high-grade steel, which costs about 170 Euros (in Germany). BTW: REAL swords are made of carbon-steel not of high-grade. had the same in black a while ago, the part that attached the blade to the grip broke and let the blade flying around, I don't recommend to swing this around or even strike something with it (HG-steel could shatter!), nevertheless, a real nice looking katana indeed

i didn't intend to be harsh, just wanted to warn you; because IF it is made of stainless steel (i could wrong after all, but i have seen a sword with the same koshirae (mounting style) and it's blade was 420 stainless steel) then it is a wallhanger for sure and it could very dangerous to swing it around or trying to hit something with it.

I would not recommend swinging that around. Read up on Katana before you buy cheap "Wallhangers". It will only lead to injury. [link] and [link]; two very informative forums about swords. I recommend you go there before wasting any more money on cheap imitations.

I think that katanas, real or fake, can cause injuries.....
