Hee hee. That was fun to do xDI copied the bishi version of the rival from some anime picture I found on google, because I fail at actually drawing proper anime anything.
HOPE YOU CAN READ MY WRITING.
And yes, my starter pokemon is female
I was quite excited. Edit: Just looked at this on a smaller screen and I think I'll need to make my writing a little bit bigger ;__; Sorry about that.

I'm still debating as to how to set out the relationship between Blue and the Rival. I don't really want her to be swooning over him.. not sure!

Have you heard of ~pettyartist ? She made a famous Leafgreen run and now started a HeartGold run as well. And I think she even had the same "problem" you had (I mean not being able to save because of save file etc.)
Hahahaha, actually I like Elm as well. XD His clumsiness and hairstyle remind me of an old English teacher I had back at school!
Well, I've never liked Silver, so I better not tell my opinion on this. XD

You're definitely doing a great job with the expressions and working on dynamic poses. 
(teehee I think Silver is attractive too)
I love your main character's design, she so cool, and Gumdrop I cannot wait to see more of. She's so cute!
May I ask what art program you use? Your lines are so crisp and clean, and that's one thing I really struggle with. (I use GIMP and am thinking about trying SAI because my outlines are really fuzzy...)

Silver is hawt. End of story. And thank you on the character! I spent quite a while working out how I wanted her to look. Keeping it with elements of the original design but with a twist.
I used SAI on this page, PS for the previous one. Sai really does help with outlines, the line smoothing is much more powerful than in PS. You can do smooth ish line in PS as well but it requires quite a steady hand, and its more hard work..

Oh so you tried Sai? You can move the bars with the brushes and stuff around to make the interface feel more like PS (I just shove all the bars to the left side of the screen personally). Also, take a bit of time to sort your keyboard shortcuts out, it'll save you a lot of time in the long run. I have B set to a larger sized brush, which was 10 for this comic, whose original size is 2000 pixels by like.. 6000, and V for a smaller brush, set to 4. You can do a bunch of cool stuff like pressing and holding down a key will change the tool used and switch back to the original tool selected when you release the key. I do that a lot for the eraser :3
Hands get steady with practice, don't worry about it!
