I'm really loving this series so far. The texture is amazing but I love the little whimsical, swirly stray strands of fur here and there the most.

It's just photoshop and several layers of different paper textures set to Overlay or Multiplay, then tweaked with a curves and a hue/saturation layer. Most of it was drawn with a hard round brush, with size, opacity and flow set to pen pressure, at 65% opacity and 60% flow as basic settings
