Description
After the Second World War, according to the plans of Reichsfuehrer SS Heinrich Himmler, a puppet state of Nazi Germany - the Order-State of Burgundy, was created in southeastern France. The state was founded on the former historical lands of the Burgundian Kingdom, from which it got its name. A national-socialist dictatorship was established in the region. Heinrich Himmler himself became the head of the Order-State.

In the country german was established at the official level, although at first french remained on an equal level with it. Massive purges and repression of the disloyal population, especially the french, were carried out, a huge number of whom migrated to other regions of the former France or abroad. In their place came the germans from Germany itself, displacing the indigenous population and gradually becoming the majority in the newly created country.

The administrative division of Burgundy is based on the former french departments. The puppet country also includes the former french-speaking swiss region of Romandy. Part of the lands of Northern Savoy and the Maritime Alps were transferred to Italy.
