It was a average evening for the android detective prototype Saru as he had made it back to Kajuaru town after spending the last few days in Osaka with detective Ando, helping him with case's and take down a crook or two. Though once back in the small beachside city Saru figured he would visit the police state to meet up with his friend and mentor detective Hanami Hatanaka*, to more or less check in with her and explain to her how his time in osaka went, with Hanami herself happy to see Saru though seh can't help but giggle at his one shod state.

"So Saru-kun how have things been going in Osaka as of late?" Hanami asked with a casual smile onher face while leaning back on her desk, with Saru soon to reply. "Pretty good for the most part, I was able to help detective Ando take down a bank robber on my first day there this week, though at the cost of my shoe."

"Heh I would have loved to see that, and how is Rena-kun doing these days? since his daughter ran away a while ago?" Hanami asked with a concerned tone as Saru explained. "To be fair pretty good all things considered, which is strange cause one would figure he would be more heart broken over this."

"hm that is strange, granted he wasn't the best when i was working under him a few years back." Hanami replied with Saru's interest perking up as he asked. "Oh how do you mean?"

"Well you see his wife went missing and while she was living with him he seamed to be misrable, but after she vanished he got alot better, though that was also the same time I gave up on wearing shoes and socks, and he started to drink more." Hanami said with a concerned tone with Saru asking. "Did they ever find her?"

"not sure, i got reassigned here soon after and i never really bothered to ask him about it since she...well she seamed a little on the bossy side, along with a little short, and always shouting shut up at him three times for the smallest thing." Hanami replied with Saru pondering to himself about everything his mentor just said as he starte dto make his way out of the office since Hanami's phone went off.

(* Sorry but honestly i think that brandon's suggestion for her was better than yours slightly since she was more relateable, though if you want i could do some requests to you to make it up to you.)
