He is painfully shy but also terminally photogenic & now lives two counties away so I doubt I'll get the chance to shoot him again, but this is one of my personal favourite portraits too.

Glad you like the shot, but the high contrast was a deliberately applied filter. The original piece was correctly exposed, but I love the atmosphere this effect gives to the shot. Cheers
