pairing up ! ~
( late ) Birthday gift to my friend. His birthday was 16th February but I couldn't finish this before.
He asked me to draw his favorite Awakening character Owain with Inigo, they make a great pair indeed. this is based on the "pair up" system from Awakening gameplay.
looks awful and full of mistakes because this drawing is kinda old.
I decided to not change many things because I had to finish it...

Owain, Inigo, Gerome and Laurent - especially Laurent - are the best characters in Awakening in my opinion and I really love them. ( they're in fact the only units I use in my gamefile besides Spotpass characters and Avatars. )

actually, as you said, I like all the characters from the children generation, but those four I mentioned are the best in my opinion. and although I like the other kids as well I don't feel like using them in my game. I like them as characters...but as units, I can pass. I'm fine with the fantastic four and my Spotpass team, really.

I not into tsunderes much. I also just get tired sometimes about her complaining about how 'perfect' her mother is.
However, I really like her supports.
It normally depends on the parents really and kids stats for my use. You'll pretty ending getting a 'meh' Owain/Oud if you pretty much don't pair Lissa up with Vaike or MU. (

I enjoy her relationship with Lucina, this makes Severa less annoying and Lucina less boring for me, or something like this.
I usually go for canon hair colors for the children. Libra/Vaike for Owain, Gregor/Avatar for Gerome, Stahl for Inigo, and Laurent is still a mystery for me, I didn't get his correct hair color, I think the only way is the Avatar.
I tried using Ricken (not even close to his official hair color but it's the best I can do), but I think Miriel cheated on him because Laurent's hair color has nothing to do with Ricken, it's a mysterious dark blond color.

I like Severa's relationship with all the girls, makes her seem much less...tsundere-ish.

since my priority is always the children generation, I don't really mind if I have to "waste" a parent couple.
I don't even use Vaike or Olivia. but I needed them in the pairings I mentioned.
on my first gamefile Libra is married to Panne because I think they look good together ( I don't care much for Yarne hair color, but it seems right anyway ), but on my main gamefile Panne is married to my avatar Mikael.

I haven't done a male avatar yet, but my female avatar, Ariana, married Donnel so that Morgan can inherit Aptitude! And I paired Olivia with Chrom because I don't like Inigo and Lucina as a couple!

I have a total of four avatars ( three males and one female ). Mikael is my main avatar, though. he's the grandmaster. [link] I still have to finish drawing the others.
I believe you made a nice choice, though my units usually maximize their status anyway, because I reclass them all the time in order to train and get skills, so I really don't mind it. ( and I can still use items such as energy drop and speedwing if I have any problem ! )
uh...you don't have to do this just because you don't like them as a couple ( I also don't like it, by the way ). if you don't appreciate it, you don't need to see them as a couple, really. just ignore it...
seriously, if I paid attention to every pairing I don't appreciate, I'd be in despair or something.

True! Sometimes I do it by pairings, sometimes I do it if the mother or father has any special skills! And thank you! I don't want Morgan to suck(like Sumia)! XD

ah, and I forgot to tell you in my last reply, the canon hair colors are the colors featured in their official artwork.
I marry the characters from the parent generation mostly for hair color ( to my favorites characters ) and skills.
thanks to this my Gerome and Owain have Dual Support+, Laurent has Deimoiselle, and Inigo has Galeforce. for the hair colors, produced Owain from Vaike ( almost right, as I said, I think Libra is the correct color ), Inigo from Stahl, Gerome from Gregor and Laurent from Ricken ( but I think Miriel cheated on Ricken haha because something went wrong, my Laurent's hair color is something between dark orange / blond ).
I don't know exactly why, I'm not a big fan of Morgan...
