ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a terrible disease that is characterized by muscle spasms, abnormal weakness of muscles, difficulty speaking, swallowing, or breathing.
A challenge to raise awareness as well as get donations has been issued where when one is challenged, they have 24 hours to pour a bucket of ice water over their head and donate 10$ to the ALS association, while explaining the situation in a video, then nominate 3 others to do the same. If you miss the 24 hour deadline or simply do not wish to pour ice water on your head when nominated, you are to donate 100$ instead.
This process has done more for donations to ALS this year than many of the past years put together. People complain about it that they don't support people making a scene for donations, but it has saved many lives and has skyrocketed in popularity. While the occational billionaire can make a generous donation under the table, people like us cannot. So this is a nice way for more people to make small contributions and be proud to show it as they spread the generosity around.

Then proceeded to make my donation.
Shortly after, she caught me and ripped out my jugular.
