MandarinMoon In reply to ebonyjade [2009-04-16 23:19:06 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much! This was baked first then painted. Sometimes I will add PearlEx powdered pigments to the raw clay before baking but any painting is done after it is cured and cooled. This one was not attached to a journal but I could have easily done that. I use Weldbond glue to attach polymer clay to my journals. Thank you for your kind words!

Another beautiful dragon eye for my favourites. I think the best things about this are the textures of the ckay and the blue-green sparkle of the eye

This is absolutely brilliant! I just love the detail work and the design. At first glance, I thought it was a book cover (and it would make a great one at that)! Its amazing how verstaile polymer clay is.

Thank you so much! It turned out to be one of my most popular polymer clay ACEOs. I'm not sure if it was because of the dichroic glass cabochon or the fact that it was a dragon!

lachrymosity In reply to MandarinMoon [2008-12-20 00:07:29 +0000 UTC]

no prob! I think it was a bit of both but personally, I loved this piece because I am partial to anything that has a dragon.

Umm... if i may ask.. what does ACEO stand for?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MandarinMoon In reply to SpiritOfLeTigress [2008-11-28 22:10:04 +0000 UTC]

It stands for Artist Cards Editions and Originals. They are little works of art that can be made from any medium, the only rule is their size, which is 2.5" x 3.5" which is the size of a baseball card. Tiny!
