-edit, i fixed some things with the nose i noticed after a little downtime-I made my first openly gay character! Or, well, pan, but still. Pretty gay.

I've seen countless anthro horse styles and what not. There's something about the way you designed the shape of the head that just makes this so good compared to the rest I've seen in the past. Decent size of lips and eyes among other things.

Thank you very much! I put a lot of thought into my animal characters. The characteristics in the head are so important, and you've really gotta be careful when you start mashing human elements into an animal. It can get weird pretty quick. Thanks for the compliment, really brightened my evening

Hah, definitely! There's some that I will push much further. Like Monica's face hardly looks like an okapi at all, but she still reads as one, and looks nice. So there's that.
Just kind of like how the my little ponies don't look anything like actual ponies, Pikachu doesn't look anything like a mouse or a pika, and just about everything else. But we can still identify them as such.
If someone has to ask what it is, and it's supposed to be something, though, that's a problem. Like bears and wolves. Those are so easy to confuse with each other if you mess it all up.

True thing. Deer that look near exactly like dogs seem really common for example
