This was my submission for the fancalendar this year! The file I'm hosting here is not as high quality as the original shot I took, since that image is over 10 MB :'D

I feel like this came out pretty well since this was the first time I ever worked with scratchboard on such a large scale, though in the future I'd definitely like to try and get better at this. It's a really interesting medium that has a lot of possibilities and is a lot more forgiving of mistakes than most people think!

This was probably done over 6 hours on just the scartchboard itself, though if I had started it earlier I would've spent a lot more time on it. I probably spent at least a good 24 hours total doing all of the linework and composition studies before I transferred it onto the scratchboard with carbon paper.
