Description
I have drawn Sakura a million times by now, but rarely have I drawn her as young. I have always liked her with long hair, so instead of letting her grow older as an excuse for giving her long hair again, I have drawn her as 12-13 years old.And it has taken me - hold on to your chair, folkes - 3 weeks to finish this (with huge pauses, of course). It is utterly rare that a drawing takes me that long time to finish. And it is seldom that I find coloring boring - which I did while doing the grass. Oh God.... *sigh*
But, now it is done and I will think it over twice next time I feel like drawing so many details again... (to you, this might seem like nothing, but to a lazy ass like me this was quite horrible in the end).
At least, people seem to like it. I hope you people out there think so too

I can definitely see how this could take 3 weeks to complete. The lines are crisp and smooth, the colors are soft and beautiful, and all the details are so lovely and really make this piece spectacular! Great job!
I really wish that the Naruto characters wore more usual clothing. It'd be so nice to see all the female characters in pretty dresses and the male characters in fancy tuxedos.

That's probably true. I guess there's not much of a chance for the characters to wear normal clothing in the story. They have to be prepared for anything!

Even then, their "fine" clothes look like ninja clothing. I'm sure that they all have hidden kunai and shuriken just in case they need them anyway.

I've always pictured Itachi to be the type of person to be able to sense danger within a certain radius. If anything was approaching, he'd wake up immediately and be as prepared as if he had been awake.

I believe that elite ninja can sense whenever danger approaches them... I imagine Itachi and Kakashi being in this group, even though Itachi doesn't sleep at all.

Yeah, that's true. My mind is centered around Itachi, Sakura, and ItaSaku, though, so I didn't even think of the other great ninjas.
Itachi has to sleep. He's human. If he didn't, he'd pass out from exhaustion, and that's just not Itachi-like. Besides, it's quite fun to make up sleep patterns for him. I haven't decided if he's the type of guy that sleeps really heavily (and can't be awakened by outside sources--he would wake up if there was danger, however), sleeps really messily (kind of like Naruto, but different), or covered in blankets. 
I do agree that Itachi probably doesn't sleep as much as he probably should though. I can just see Kisame pestering Itachi about that, too.

Ah, I see... Okay, then Itachi might sleep once in a while. But it is still impossible that Gaara does, 'cause it is said that when once he sleeps, the Ichibi inside him awakes. This is stated after the attack at the final part of the Chuunin Exams - when Naruto fights Gaara and wins by wakening him ^^

I can see Itachi being the type of guy that can stay awake for 3 or 4 days straight before having to sleep. I imagine that him and Kisame travel a lot, which would cause them to stay up for mutliple days in a row.
He might sleep now, though. He no longer has the one tail's inside him.

Like Gaara, Itachi has insomnia. Why Gaara doesn't sleep is because of an intirely other thing that the reason why Itachi doesn't sleep. You see, after wiping out the Uchiha clan, Itachi has been "afraid" that he would be assassinated at first given chance, so he avoids sleeping. Thats is why he's got those lines under his eyes ^^
(Or, to be precise, he stopped sleeping normally when he entered ANBU)
But I do find the fun in planning his sleep patterns

Your problem with that statement is stating that people with insomnia don't sleep, when in reality people with insomnia just have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. They still sleep, however. I'm pretty sure that the anime and/or the manga has stated that Gaara does indeed sleep. He just didn't prefer to and tried to avoid it. Also, Itachi's not the kind of guy to be worried about being assassinated in his sleep because he believed that he was far more powerful than anyone else. Also, as you said, he is an elite ninja who would be able to detect a threat even in his sleep. Furthermore, Itachi had the lines under his eyes in one of Sasuke's flashbacks when he was still in the academy, so he did not develop those lines: he was either born with them or something happened when he was very young (younger than when he was in the academy). In conclusion, while there may be a possiblity that Itachi is an insomniac (which I still don't believe), he still sleeps.
