Best excuse. I fully support.Β Β Memes have some of the best facial expressions, after all. It's what makes them all the more hilarious! Oh my goodness tho, I would love to see ya make a freedom meme with America. Those are my absolute favorite. I might actually do one in traditional form just for the laughs. OR for Fourth of July.
Gotta show my patriotism!!!Β Β

All the freedom memes I have are eagle based XDΒ Like this one, it's beautiful:Β me.me/i/hello-freedom-you-sexyβ¦
I think it fits both Americas' charactersΒ Β Β
I also love the freedom phrases like, "Hey, from a scale to 1 to America, how free are you tonight?" Or "Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of my FREEDOM!" I'm glad Americans, for the most part, love our over-extravagant ways of making fun of ourselves. >w<Β

Oh my goodness true true but at least as a whole were not all offended rather embrace it. Yes these are perfectly patriotic XD I'm tearing up just looking at them!
I love the ones where they just mash everything that could possibly be american in one picture
Or better yet the one that says "we're gonna free the shit out of you" I know I shouldn't laugh but I can't help myself

So much more enjoyable and fun to embrace it rather than be offended. Especially for something harmless like memesΒ Β
I'm the most of the patriotic. I seeketh all that is America pride. Brings me the most of laughter XD
Oh my goodness, same! The compiling of all that is deemed American is like a party that exploded!
I can relate to laughing even though I shouldn't. Like, "Excuse me, sir, but do you have a moment to talk about FREEDOM?" It just somehow gets me to laugh, and I can't help it. TwT I'm too weak.

Only in high school and all ready this talented?! Goodness gracious, you have a good artistic career ahead of you if that is where you want to go. Art is more of a hobby for me. Many have told me to pursue it, but I was always scared of making a hobby into work with deadlines and such. Thus, I focused on a career I found my talents in and now I'm pursuing it in university. University, depending on your high school, can be pretty easy or super hard in the transition. Thankfully, my high school was great and the transition was easy. You looking into universities?

Maybe I could have been better had I practiced people earlier on and backgrounds I can't do backgrounds XD it wasn't until 5th grade I tried drawing something else than animals.
My dude I know that feel that's why I fear taking commissions qwq plus my life has gotten busier, it's a struggle to find time to draw because of it. I fear I'll disappoint people because of the quality and how long it took.
At first i wanted nothing to do with art because of the whole starving artist thing and I dislike drawing realism so I thought about animations. As for universities, I currently have been visiting the Art institute just cause of the animation program owo then there's 2 normal universities that I have yet to research on.

Angie-1Star In reply to ManiacalVolt [2018-05-18 15:46:26 +0000 UTC]
Oh my goodness, backgrounds. I need practice backgrounds desperately XD But, you know what they say, you can't get better unless you practice. You also can't get better if you confine yourself to one thing, either. Took me a while to break out of my mold. I always started off drawing people, but it wasn't until 8th grade did I start breaking and experimenting on different things like body shape, techniques, colors, poses, etc.
*Advice warning in case you aren't prepared.*
As much as you may dislike drawing realism, it really helps. Cartoons or drawing styles are simplified and exaggerated versions of real beings, human or animal. You got to know the rules in order to break or change them, per say. Anatomy class and drawing realistic humans REALLY helped me in my human drawings and style. Besides, even in an animation program, you'd have to take one class in realism because it is the basics, so prepare yourself. ; ) You got this. And, about the starving artist thing. Well, it depends. Would you go freelance? That has a lot of risk, which is where starving artist comes from since most don't know how to properly advertise themselves or do business. However, if you work for a company or organization, depending on your job, you'd have good, steady pay so long as you are wise with your money.
Commissions are a good step towards learning the business world in a safer, low-risk environment. About time, you have to learn what you can take and where your limits are, as well as set a time to do the work and draw. You can't be afraid to disappoint people, because it is bound to happen. Some people are harder to please, if at all. And, it is a learning process. On the real, better to disappoint people now, when you are still young and growing and can bounce back more easily, than when you are older, in a job, where the risks could get you fired. Just a bit of advice. ^^ I'll support ya all the way, though, if ya need it.Β

I know realism is an essential but boy is it a pain to do
especially if one eye isn't just right it looks like they are looking elsewhere.
It's also the reason why I'm taking anatomy next year
Cause I know I need it no matter how much I'll hate it
It'll pay off π
That was one of the most informative and beautiful advice I've gotten in such a long time thank you owo you've got such a strong voice with words my dude

Angie-1Star In reply to ManiacalVolt [2018-05-23 12:07:25 +0000 UTC]
I agree. It is a pain, but a good kind of pain, like the pain you get after a serious workout and you know you've done good and are getting stronger/healthier/etc. For me, realism takes. So. Long. I have to set a lot of time if I want to do realism. But, when I do it, I get enraptured by it, all my focus on the smallest details in order to make it as real as my abilities can make it. It's a pleasant feeling for me, that level of concentration. ^^ And, what I've learned, is that eyes aren't symmetrical in real life, so don't feel too bad XDΒ
Look at you, taking the initiative with taking an anatomy course. I really enjoyed mine, learned how to better draw the body and learned the mechanics of life and biology, the human body is fascinating. So much to learn, so many unknowns! I love it so much. =w= My teacher was a sarcastic teacher, too. Hilarious, he knew me since 9th grade when I took his biology class. So I walked in with a good rep.Β
I'm happy I was able to give good advice for you. If you need any real talk like that, don't be afraid to ask. ^^ Actually, advice is what I've learned I've become good at due to my experience and objective thinking, thank the Lord for that >w< My mother and church noticed my innate ability of listening to others and finding ways to ease distress or find solutions, so they suggested going into Psychology. Which, I am and I'm loving it. I can't be more grateful. I'm hoping to be a military psychologist. Growing up surrounded by military personnel has led to me understanding the dynamics of veterans, soldiers, and military families, needed for my field. I could never be a soldier, but I still want to do my part.

Well, do your best to enjoy what your studying, and the class will be much more fun that way. Fake it until you make it, if ya got to! But, anatomy in general is really interesting.
Look at you, marching forward with your head held high. You won't like high school drag you down!Β
Thank you. Believe it or not, my English used to be terrible due to learning my mother's broken English since my dad wasn't around most times to help my English. Had to go to ESL all through elementary despite English being my first language. In middle school, I took it upon myself to carry an English textbook wherever I went to read in my down times. But, my AP English Language teacher is who really helped my English diction, grammar, and prose. He is still my favorite, purposely took his Journalism the next year because he was teaching >w< That is the kind of teacher I'd like to be, one who makes an impact on the students' lives for the better.
Grew up surround by patriotism. ; D Can't help but be patriotic! Heck, I have America's birthday! Always had a Red, White, and Blue themed B-Day >w< That's my hope, the help as many as I can.Β

I remember my coach telling us how we never remember learning English because we learned it since we were kids well that wasn't necessarily me XD I remember the pain of sitting down to learn the alphabet and asking for help but no one but my elementary school teacher could help. Even then I refused to ask for the teachers help because I felt I could do it on my own. I remember reading "the bunny went hop, hop, hop. The bunny went hop over the hill" and writing about a bat with a fat rat on it's back =.=
Aaaaa boiii yasss!!! XD mine is just inauguration day lol I found out that at first it was at March 4th interesting

I took a child psychology course during spring semester, and language acquisition is such a fascinating topic, especially when compared to bilingual children. Amazing that as such small children, we aren't really 'taught' our first language so much as we just observe and absorb the language. Humans are great at learning patterns, and language is no different at such a young age. Even babies can differentiate which language is a native language of a parent and which is a new language of a stranger, and even preferring to be around the native language of the family. It is also why young toddlers who have yet to speak word, still just making sound, have a sort of pattern-like speech as they copy the language of the family, the rhythm and tones of the language even if they can't say the actual words. Then, when we are older and learning all the names to these rules we naturally learned, it's like seeing our language in a whole different light! Sorry to go all nerdy on ya
I remember looking through an old school journal of mine from second grade. My English was ATROCIOUS, even for a 7 year old, but my creative nature was all the same XD I had so many stories in those journals, some were actually pretty good and complex for a 7 year old. Language couldn't stop the creativity!!! >w<
Inauguration day, you say? Welp, if you ever become president, you'll know what day it would be XD And, I've always seen patriotism as a multi-layered thing. Like, different kinds. There is blind patriotism that borders on idiocy, and there is informed patriotism where you know there are faults in your country, but you still love your country and try to help make your country a better place.Β Β
