Thank you for the critique... though I have to ask what you mean by the paw/foot resting on her posterior... I only drew two dragon paw feet and they are both on the ground. As for the head, I made it a little big on purpose to give it an almost hybrid cartoon feel... sort of a style choice. If you think it would look better small, that is fine, and I appreciate your opinion, so don't take that the wrong way.
Thank you for your honest critique. I'll consider what you said for future drawings.

You're welcome. I mean the part directly under her bow. [link] Forgive me if it's meant to be fabric, but it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the dress; it looks more like a paw. I certainly understand style choices, and hope I didn't offend you when I mentioned her head looks a bit big. I'm studying Drawing and Anatomies right now, where they drill proportions into us night and day. I appreciate that you accept constructive criticism with such grace, not everyone does. (Incidentally, I voted for this one, lol, so I'm glad it won.)
Actually, I wanted to seek permission to shrink her head a little, and alter the cloth that looks like a paw (to me) for the coloring portion of the contest. The contest rules said we may add or redo details, but a person's lineart is so personal, I wanted to make sure you didn't mind before doing so. If you do mind, of course I will certainly color it as is. Thank you!

Oh, I see, now that makes sense. Thanks for showing me that. I was trying to make it look all bunched up... not really easy to do. Thanks for pointing out that this is a confusing part. I will see what I can do to make it look better in a future drawing. No offence what-so-ever, I just like xplaining my thinking... though I really do appreciate it when people say what they feel... because that way I can see more clearly what my picture looks like from another person's point of view... that is to say I can tell if what I did really worked or not. Thank you again.
Oh, you may shrink her head a little if you wish. I dont' mind people taking liberties with my line art in the least. With my own contests, I actually encourage people to take risks, try things, change things... so long as it still is clear that it is from my line art, I dont' mind at all any inventiveness. Thank you for asking first.
Yeah, I know all about anatomy and proportions... and about classes drilling that in... it has actually been the source of great confusion for me because I like to play with a variety of styles... and so many cartoon and anime styles have the proportions all out of whack, and intentionally changing those proportions for the sake of a style can be difficult and confusing for me from time to time. Chibis were particularly tough to get because of that.

You're welcome, and I understand; folds and bunches of fabric are not easy to create. I like to talk through critiques too, it really helps both parties understand thinking behind the work, and thinking forward. Thank you for the permission to change the details. You know, I never really could draw Chibis, lol. I just couldn't force myself to put those "bobble heads" on those tiny bodies. The trick about breaking the rules of design, though, is knowing them all thoroughly, so you know which ones can be "broken" without sacrificing the quality of your work on the whole. This is why I hate Home Movies, lol. Don't know if you've seen that animation, but the so called style really grates on my nerves.

I hope it doesn't take too long. I have gotten better at detailing so this version will be better.

The other was flat with small shading, this one will have highlighting, and eye detailing out the butt. Most of my time on it will be spent JUST flat coloring it, I use lots of layers so the colors don't get muddy.

I hate when people rush and make the colors blend too much. It makes it look horrid, and half-assed. Excuse my language, I just couldn't find another word to use.

I know what you mean. For some reason, I always thought it was half fast, instead of half assed.

XDDD Oh, I like you. You just made my day. I've been working for hours on this one other picture I drew, now colored. All I need to do is the background and it's done. Then I will tackle your lineart and work all day on flat coloring it.
