Though she dresses in finery, it cannot hide the rotting soul underneath.

This is a concept drawing for a Lich in a game that may be made later. It is still up in the air. I was commissioned to draw this as a trial... and should it be all go well, I will be commissioned to draw more.

The reason I am posting this here instead of in Where I post most of my commissions is because the design and the concept can transcend to my world in the making as well. This would not classify as a character... but more a background detail... as there could very easily be liches in the world of my story... and this is what they would be like.

The idea behind this goes a little something like this: The lich is a sorcerer who has grown so powerful that they continue to inhabit their bodies even after they start to decompose,kept immortal by their powerful dark magic. This particular lich was a woman, and you can see what her figure used to be like when she was living by the shape of her armor. Greedy and power hungry, as liches go, she used her beauty as another means to control dominate. When her good looks started to fade, it was painful to her, so she took to hiding it behind a mask and fine long gowns so almost nothing of the rotten flesh and bones could show through, but if ever you see under that mask, you would see nothing beautiful at all. Her dress and cape have a bladed edge as an extra weapon,a nd her sword has dragon skin on it. In my opinion, not only cool looking, but despicable as well. That is pretty much it. I hope you like her.
