[Hewoo! Thank you for taking you time to RP with me! -flails- Sorry if my responses are delayed -currently busy-
I'm going to continue where I left off with another RP with MikaTheBlueKitty, you can check my RP tracker in description to see what happened if you are interested, but it won't hinder events taken here. :3]
Takaoki had finished speaking with Declan, he thanked him for bringing him to the Journalism club and both boys said their goodbyes.
There wasn't much to see in the club room and with that- Takaoki decided it was best to just start his way home.
As he was about to close the club room door, the hairs on his neck stood up as he heard a voice from within! There was indeed someone inside this room. He just didn't notice their presence moments ago.
He must have been too drained to even notice at first glance. He focused on the students silhouette.
The fact that it was somewhat dim in the room, didn't help his case either.
There was a person hunched over their laptop, seemingly working on something important, or maybe just dawdling considering that their desk was a heaping mess.
Takaoki refrained from clicking his tongue as best he could. It just reminded him of the chores that were waiting for him back at his uncle's place.
"Pardon the intrusion. My name is Mayu Takaoki. Tako for short if you like." He went over to her and stood a ways from her desk as to not interrupt her work. He bowed to her, but she never once batted an eye at him.
"As you may already know, I'm new here and thought I could give this club a shot. I had written a paper on a cafe and won an award... Sorry, I don't mean to
come across as arrogant, but.. I really want to try my hat at writing." He chuckled a little. "I won't shy away from research and interviews." He looked at her desk again, analyzing all the photographs.
"Did you take these photographs? They're stunning." He wasn't trying to be nosy, he was really interested in knowing what kind of hobbies other people his age invested their time in.

He felt, that the girl took his words at face value. He smiled meekly as he really wasn’t trying to boast of his one accomplishment,
he was just reminding her that he was already accepted into the journalism club and didn’t want to go through a hard evaluation.
He was really tired..! ‘She seems like a fiery spirit’ He noted it was a good thing in this type of work.
Although he didn't pursue as to why she would think he was more deserving of being accepted. Her photos from what he could see, were great. He put it aside for now.
She turned the laptop towards him and from the corner of his eye, he took a closer look at the images and how organized the layout was presented.
It seems like she is capable of capturing the better side of idols- thinking back on the cold treatment he received from the idol student he met earlier.
Takaoki didn’t like that assumption he made; he imagined most idols that appeared to be crossed, are just stressed from their workload.
He didn't want to think about that.
Honestly he just wanted to go home and sleep, but his guard came up slightly when the girl before him started to unravel the faults of another student.
‘Ah.. hahaha.. I don’t really like gossip.’ He reminded himself, but for the time being he put up with it and understood that it was typical past time for most.
He wasn't one to waste energy in criticizing among peers about other's habits.
She politely introduced herself as Amelie Haneda. It would be easy to remember, since it’s the same as the airport in Tokyo.
His calm expression changed to one of excitement as she spoke of her photography work being incomparable and ultimately matchless.
He wanted to commend her fighting spirit, but also--- why not indulge her in some of that mischief she insinuated upon him?
No… he better not, he wasn’t in the mood and frankly too exhausted and knew what was awaiting back home. CHORES! He was internally crying.
‘I’ll challenge her another time after more research. Maybe.’ He mindlessly lifted his hand as if he was under oath.
“I’ll pass. I’d like to focus on writing for the time being. By the way—“ Takaoki pointed to the camera that was settled upon her printed photos.
“I don’t know too much about these kind of cameras, but do you mind telling me how easy it is to get into photography?” He mimicked her grin.
Okay, he threw in the word ‘easy’ to stir her a little. He pulled up a chair next to Amelie’s desk and sat on it in with a huff.
Despite trying to put up a front-- He made sure not to get anywhere near her camera, he wasn’t clumsy,
but that looked like some serious equipment and he personally didn’t have any money to afford a replacement.
He locked his hands together as a sort of insurance in case that machine somehow fell off the desk. He had to get over her table being terrifically chaotic, how anything managed to balance on it was a feat in itself.
He eyed all of her electronics with caution.
[Takaoki and expensive looking things-- he be like...
And oh wow! 3am.. nice! ]

He didn’t quite agree with her expertise… he was too inexperienced to understand the concept and decided that it had to be the expensive equipment.
Nodding his head slightly. 'Marketing wouldn’t be a good career choice for her; it’s a no brainer that it’s heavily needed and she was evidently good at it.'
Ohhhooo, she’s the type to be her own boss! Takaoki handed the print back to her as carefully as possible. Doing his best not to put any finger prints on it.
Just as he did, her voice lingered in his ears, “—Mayu-kun?” Takaoki choked a little. Mayu-Kun..!? Isn't that exactly what a Japanese school girl would say?
He still wasn’t used to hearing his new name. Normally it would be hard to respond to a new name, but what bothered him was that it was his mother's maiden name.
A huge jump from his birth name, 'Octavio C. Atnip'. He remembered the way his friends teased him in America. 'Mayu-kun, are you happy about getting the chance to hear it?'
Why did his friends make a big deal out of it? Now he was getting conscious of his name.
[OOC: Takaoki is like.. I do believe I got the vapors lmao XD]
Takaoki didn’t hesitate to answer her question. First, he cleared his voice, to no avail.. a high pitched sound came out.
“I— urp.“ He put his head down in embarrassment and a finger up in the air to excuse himself.
“Haha! Apologies, my throat has been irritated all day. Bleh.” He lied in a semi-panic.
“My hobby… hm, let me show you.” He went for his smartphone stashed in his school bag and quickly pulled up a random image on his Yelp profile.
He turned the phone to her, not sure if she’d accept holding his device. [OOC: no innuendos pls ;n;]
[OOC: Tasty ice-cream treat image he shows her s3-media0.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphot…]
“One of my main hobbies is visiting cafes and writing reviews. I don’t think too hard when taking photos of the food, but I like to decorate them afterward.”
He knew it was a childish fad, but he really liked to do it.
“I go by the saying- The camera eats first!” Takaoki smiled as he swiped the photographs for her. He was stupidly happy.
“Thinking about what you said, I’ll implement your advice of focusing on the angles.”
He rested his smartphone on her desk. With the same determination when balancing a wooden block in a game of Jenga.
"More importantly I'd like to get better in writing, so I'm thinking about doing interviews soon. What is your opinion on this?" He swung his foot to cross his leg--
ALMOST HITTING THE DESK. He cooly looked to Amelie to see her reaction.
[She can buy him one too! xD jk jk Dunno if she'd do that, but he wouldn't accept expensive gifts easily.]

Takaoki leaned back on his chair, he saw how she wasn't unnerved and thought about her invitation to a café.
He wasn’t really sure about dining out with others. Most of the time he eats, he gets food stuck in his gap tooth,
not that it bothers him, but he can tell when a person is staring and gets fidgety. He’ll just have to take better care.
Either way, he liked the idea of spending some time with his club mates and nodded with acceptance to her invitation for a café run.
He was actually wondering if there were any nearby the school campus, since he wanted to get a head start to unlocking dukedom
to many surround establishments. It was a mini game he played on his Yelp profile.
His eyes widened a little when she compared her camera to a gun. He thought of something funny.
“What was that? Is it because they both take shots?” He gripped his knees as he let out a boisterous laugh.
‘That’s what she meant right? What a funny girl!’
He calmed himself, “Yes, I had an idea earlier about interviewing an idol student I met, in hopes of getting to know them better.”
He made a suction noise with his mouth, as if he did something bad. His first meeting with them, wasn’t all that great.
Takaoki looked around the empty dim room; he thought about what Amelie said- when he had given her a reason as to why he joined the club.
"Earlier you hinted that I had a better chance of being here and thought you worried about your current position in this club." He concluded that maybe she felt a little bad about not contributing so much on writing or interviewing, but he wasn’t entirely sure.
“We can both appreciate how well photography and writing go hand in hand in telling a story. I hope you can count on me.”
He didn’t flinch on his expression, trying hard not to make the atmosphere awkward. He stared blankly again at the empty room.
'Can I count on you as a friend?' He wondered.
“Do you enjoy coming here often? When no one else is around?” He imagined that she would get a lot more work done if what she said was true about a mischievous student hanging around!
[=w= I realize that Takaoki likes to make jokes... and realized this entry was so full of cheesiness yasss!]

[Amelie is a mind reader. Noice. There is no hiding my boy! >D]
The girl looked a little deep in thought; Takaoki thought maybe he had said something he shouldn't.
Feeling empathetic, he thought he could have obtained a better idea of what she might be feeling if she opened up to him a little.
He didn't feel lame about sharing emotions; even if they didn't know each other or that it sometimes painted him as an old married man.
It's understandable the distance that people put in place and when it came down to difficult subjects, Tako didn't believe in coercion.
He smiled at her light-hearted whining as she then explained how she was accepted without showing much to offer.
That was a good thing, it meant she found something to further motivate her to work very hard to create a portfolio and
it also meant that this club made exceptions so the members must all be pretty nice. He just hopes that he won't slack off, because if given the chance,
he'll jump on it without hesitation and it's a hole that is difficult for him to climb out of. Tako got up and walked over to the piece of paper that had missed the rubbish bin.
"Don’t worry, I won’t get in your way—It seems you’re really fond of this, Amaya. I can take a hint.” Takaoki fiddled with the piece of paper, not thinking much about it.
Wondering if that was the same person Amelie mentioned earlier. He wanted to ask who Amaya was, although--- it's as Amelie suggested,
there will be other times to meet new people through interviews and Amaya wouldn't be overlooked. Muahaha!
She should be careful not to be painting someone in a bad light, but it’s fine if they’re close. It’s a good thing he doesn’t care too much about his own reputation.
He’s had a deal worse in his previous school. Not meeting expectations and practically given the ultimatum to leave his former private school.
His own foolishness. He crumpled the paper even more taut and threw it at Amelie. It bounced on her head and lightly fell onto her desk.
“Try again.” He went over to the desk and swiped his smartphone off. No, he wasn’t clumsy at all… Takaoki was precise and had cat like reflexes to match his cat like eyes.
Still he was wary of the camera precariously fixed onto a mound of work. It just dug further the memory of stepping into his uncle’s house.
Cluttered to the brim and he had this gut feeling it was going to take him and HIM ALONE to fix that!
“I should—get going. Feeling a bit tired and I for one don’t plan on camping here overnight. I don’t like sleeping alone.” He left that open to her interpretation and grinned. He waited for her reply~

[me: ay yo wtf, mah boy aint no reptilian. –Takaoki kicks his creator- ‘Its written rapscallion..’ me: oh. XD]
----------
The girl hid the piece of paper from him. With her cute childish antics, he was sure she would throw it back at him.
He wanted to show off his one handed catch skills. Oh well, maybe another time to play. He stood there, withstanding all her taunting and just scoffed a little at the idea of sleeping together with someone.
[to be clear- he meant that in a very non-smexual way ._.; eep]
He was a terrible sleeper and even worse, was him waking up. He was sure to frighten anyone who had the chance to behold his unsightly appearance.
What? Did she possibly suggest she would comfort him? She was treading into deep waters, he would have retorted if she hadn’t quickly backed out from her teasing—quickly changing the subject.
He smiled thinking that maybe she wasn’t too keen on hearing the response. Amelie was such a fun girl.
It would make sense her family is bathed in riches from her mention of her parents doting on their company’s prosperity. Was it wrong for him to think that she must be feeling too controlled?
No she made it clear; her forte in photographing was now just an asset to her parents … it’s no wonder why she has retreated to the dorms. He wasn’t too worried about the camera any longer,
she could easily have it replaced, but that didn’t mean he would lose respect for her and her things. No matter where it begins, it takes a lot of hard work to own something he thought to himself.
He felt a little sad about her situation, but relief that she still had their support, even if it was just in financial terms, but he didn’t know the full story, so he thought it best not to further make any hurtful assumptions.
“The dorms must be nice, since you get more chances to be lively with your flat mates. I’m sure they love your… spirited outlook.” That was referring to her wise-cracking. Takaoki knew Ameile was quite kind.
He gripped the strap on his school bag and put away his smartphone in it's designated pocket.
“Sure. Shall we head out then?” He reached out his hand to her like a parent would for their child. Before she could react he retracted back his hand.
“Just playing.” He shrugged once as he then went to open the door. “Hope it’s not raining, it was overcast all day.” He spoke to himself.
He waited for the girl to come over and take the lead. “I’m still not familiar with the entire campus, so I’ll appreciate you taking me to the entrance/exit.” He bowed to her once out of politeness.

The two had descended down the stairs, Takaoki followed her behind - to be honest Takaoki couldn't quite catch everything
Amelie was saying since the walls bounced her echos in a garbled way. He did pick up her quote though~ and joked in his mind, 'I don't know what that means'! [XD Gaston from beauty in the beast lul pas/quoi]
As they continued, she mentioned the beach, he was really interested in going there, actually it's the amenity that he had been looking forward to when attending this school. A scenic view was one of the many things he loved~
It would have been nice choosing the dorms over his uncle's place, but not like he had much of a choice...?
Takaoki snapped out of his daydreaming when he heard the same name come up. The girl paused in her trail of words. Amelie sounded like she was really longing for a certain someone. Maybe the two are best friends? Siblings? Lovers? No.. it's uncommon that anyone would date someone with a similar sounding name. [my honest deduction lol]
Takaoki scratched his head awkwardly, maybe he was seeing things, but she looked a tad embarrassed. He didn't quite understand why.
"Are you okay? What, not enough friends to hang out with tonight?" He quipped in an attempt to cheer her up a bit.
"If you really want some company, then go to her. I'm sure your friend would enjoy a break." Though it sounded weird to say out loud, he felt obligated to say it.
"It's what you both need, since it sounds like everyone is holed up in work." He cheerfully added. Hopefully, that gave her a boost to make up her mind.
"I say that mainly because of your earlier state. Glued to the laptop, silently still, I almost didn't see you at first.
Do you like to pretend you're a ghost?" He meant that playfully, but quickly regretted it.

He knew that she would associate the word with being ghosted since she seems to be such a lonely character.
Still though, how often did that happen to act like such a brat; not just her, but the idol student he met earlier behaved in a similar manner.
Still, he knew it struck a nerve and he knows better than to pick battles with those who are at war with themselves.
He tried his best to be understanding and knew he had to work on his ice breakers.
He shrugged a little when she said he wasn’t the ‘best best’ and smiled at her switching back to her fiery self.
They were now at a familiar part of the school.
“I hope you enjoy your dinner and yes- I know the way back and if we do get around to going to that café you mentioned, I’ll treat you.”
It was his way to apologize for blatantly calling her a flipping ghost. Admittedly he found her rebound a bit amusing- but he wouldn't dare say.
He bowed to her respectfully to give her his goodbyes.
He thought to himself, 'Now the line between us is a little clearer and I would rather that- disappear.'
Maybe it was too bold, but he was looking forward to their friendship!
[lmao he tryin’ gurl! Did you have anything else to add? xD]
