I like how dream-like and haunting this looks, I love that technique of spreading the watercolour pigments with water and/or salt! This is gorgeous! I'd love to see more of this looser style of painting! It's got such a lovely quality to it!

Thank you! I'm definitely going to work like this again in the future, it's relaxing and it's also a chance to play with textures and see how the colours react to each other. I'm sure you'll be able to paint like this too, just let the colours work their own magic

I'm trying to be more relaxed with my watercolors as well and let them flow; this is a huge motivation for me.

Thank you I understand, sometimes doing the kind of illustrations that I do, I feel like I'm "forcing" watercolour to act in a way it's not supposed to also, I've always liked abstract art and when I wasn't able to use watercolour properly I used to play a lot with it doing stains, textures and splatters. I kinda miss that feeling of being free, I'm sure you can relate
