Description Taken by Melanie Bryant at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, June 30th, 2013.

Sarah (~LeavingForParis ) and I went to the renaissance festival over the weekend and got some fun shots of us in costume. Sarah is wearing a mixture of pieces from my costumes and her own, which we threw together in about an hour the morning of. We were still stopped constantly and told we had some of the best costumes at the faire, so we must have done something right, haha.

You are welcome to use these images as stock! Please do! My only requirements are that A) you credit me for the stock, and B) you PLEASE send me a link to the final product if you post it online. I want to see all the cool stuff people decide to do with the images!

Hey! I'm starting to try to put together a ranger costume for the MN Ren Fest, and yours is absolutely fantastic! What kind of pieces do you have in yours, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! You've got some lovely stuff in your gallery too! I myself am a part-time pirate as well, haha.

Back off a bit, next time, you wanted the whole bow and arrow. I imagine if you had one nocked at Faire, you'd be tackled.

There actually is a wider shot here:

I just wanted a close-up that gave a little more detail on the costume.

Nice job on the costume! They let you string your bow there? The one I go to requires bows unstrung and arrows can't have any heads, and can't be removable from their quiver.

Thanks! They are fairly lax about their weapons rules at the Colorado faire. Which is probably not a good thing, but there you have it. Technically I'm not supposed to have the arrow nocked to the string, but this was after hours, and most of the folks there know me. Otherwise, having my bow strung was never an issue. Still, this may have a lot to do with the fact that I used to work there, so most people trust me not to do stupid crap, haha.

That's the best part of being "known" or a regular, you have shown them they can trust you a bit more than the usual stranger. The big faire I'm a regular at is finally starting to figure out that the stuff I bring with me are always fake: plastic/resin, etc. so they're starting to relax alot more about checking out my "weapons" and such.
