Description This is my first Photoshop painting ever, yay! I finally got to install Photoshop CS5 on my computer, and after testing different buttons for a few hours, I decided to try my hands at a proper painting. I've got to say that I really love that program, though I still have a looot to learn.

I decided to draw the beautiful Neytiri from Avatar, and except for the stripes and spots, I didn't use any references. That's why she looks so different (I think I failed miserably at painting her mouth -_-). Anyway, she was very fun to paint, and I think me and Photoshop are about to become very good friends.

Hehe, det er fΓΈrste PS-tegningen min ja, men jeg brukte sΓ₯ klart tegnebrett (om jeg hadde brukt mus ville det sett... annerledes ut ). Jeg er ikke helt fersk nΓ₯r det kommer til digital kunst heller da, ettersom jeg har brukt GIMP i flere Γ₯r fΓΈr dette bildet . Men takk likevel!

When someone loves Avatar as much as I do, it is hard to not draw any more fan art. I must have been watching the movie 15 times or so now, and I wouldn't mind watching it again today

Oh, the extended version is great! The collector's edition is the one with 16 minutes of extra scenes, right? It is awesome! I watched it with a friend, but I only have the original version myself. I have to do something about that!

Thanks again! Finding references shouldn't be any problem (and your gallery seems to have a lot of good stuff!), though I think it is more fun and exciting to see how well I remember the characters. I will never be able to get 100 % resemblance if I draw Jake (or any other character) without references, but I have a lot more freedom to do as I want, yay!
