This was a challenging story to write because I wanted to try a second person transformation story in present tense so I apologize in advance if there’s a grammar issue I missed it was certainly out of my wheelhouse.

I wanted originally to do an animal transformation to fit with the original theme “the last thing you see as a human.” Still, the story has evolved passed that once it was suggested that with the glasses insult a nerd transformation would work.

I wanted to justify the transformation with three strikes, and the glasses comment I think worked out as a good catalyst that was reasonable. I once did that very thing when I was thirteen and even more stupid than I still am.

In any case, I hope that everyone enjoyed this experimental Halloween story!
