I added a previously link so you can read the bit before this, but there are two parallel stories at this exact moment, with Aithne training Yip I believe. So this is happening at the same time as that. It's only complicated because I'm lazy.

this happened BEFORE ARC, before any of you go OMGGG. And so you all know, Lee told Amber, they sorted it out, it's all good. Obviously he was in the dog house for a bit.

Lee stood in the feed room and looked around, his mind ticking over what he could possibly do to help Fru. Aisha perched herself on the table on one wall and crossed her legs, leaning forwards slightly to watch him. He large blue eyes traced his every movement. “Any ideas?” She asked quietly. He shook his head and went to sit next to her, running through the possibilities again and again. He had nearly tried everything, from alfalfa mixes to bran mixes, Fru just wasn't interested.
“No, nothing,” he sighed, burying his face in his hands. “I'm at a dead end with this.” He choked the words out, trying not to let all this get to him. He felt Aisha's hand on his shoulder, but didn't look up. He didn't want this new member of staff to see him so upset.
“You'll find something,” she said softly, pushing some hair behind her ear as she wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “You've kept her going this long, right?” Lee had cared for Fru for over a year now since Zoe's death, but that was really all he had done, kept her going. The mare didn't want to live any more.
“But she doesn't want to keep going,” he said as he lifted his head, his eyes stinging. Aisha squeezed his shoulders and looked around.
“Well, maybe Ru will change that,” she said a little more confidently. All hopes were resting on Fru's twin sister, the life of another horse resting on that poor thing's shoulders. Lee nodded but buried his face again.
“I just don't understand why she had to go,” he said, his voice cracking. “She left Fru like that, in that state. And... and she left me,” he managed to say. Aisha was a bit at a loss, rubbing his shoulder lightly and smoothing his hair with her other hand.
“Yeah... I know it's hard,” she muttered. “Come on, we'll go to the staff room, get you sorted,” she sighed, getting up from the table. Lee followed her, trying to compose himself. Now she mentioned it, it would probably be a good idea to sit down somewhere quiet for a bit. He was always in the eyes of the staff, never able to just sit by himself. Normally he would have liked it, with all the company he had never had as a child, but since Zoe died he really did want to just be alone.

Aisha had been staying in the staff quarters since she arrived. She said she liked to be close to the horses, and liked to have her space. She unlocked the door and opened it, letting Lee go in first before shutting and locking it behind them. “There, privacy,” she sighed, running a hand through her hair. Lee collapsed on the sofa in the small living room, rubbing his eyes and swallowing hard.
“Sorry, I'm such an embarrassment,” he said, trying to manage a laugh but end up just crying more. Aisha did laugh, however, sitting down next to him.
“Don't be silly, I've seen a lot of men cry,” she grinned and relaxed slightly, watching him. He looked at her with his pale eyes and she glanced away. He smiled and sat back slightly.
“Yeah, bet you made them cry,” he said in an attempt and humour. Aisha smirked and nodded slightly.
“Men don't normally like it when they find out their hot date has a dick,” she said drily. Lee shook his head and had to laugh.
“I never minded,” he said, recalling a few run-ins he had had a long time ago, when he had frequently gone out to clubs. Aisha raised an eyebrow and stood from the sofa, moving over to the kitchen that was pretty much part of the living room.
“Oh really?” She asked lightly as she put water into the kettle. “Does anything bother you?” She turned and leaned back against the kitchen counter, watching him again with those piercing blue eyes. He shook his head and wiped his face with his hand.
“No, not really,” he answered honestly, glancing up at Aisha.
“Then how on Earth have you ended up with Amber? You could have gotten someone much more... interesting,” she laughed a little, turning to put teabags into two mugs and reaching up for the sugar from a cabinet. Lee didn't reply, looking down at his feet. He couldn't really answer the question. For so long he had played around, messed with other people, just had fun. Then he had met Amber at the Dressage Show, and had intended to have fun with her too. That didn't work out. The woman was different. He had intended to get laid with his first Australian, but instead he was engaged to her. “Lee?” He jumped out of his thoughts to see Aisha right in front of him, looking down with a slightly worried look. “You okay?” He nodded and stood up from the sofa.
“Yeah, fine,” he said quietly, moving with her to the kitchen. She poured the hot water into the mugs as he leaned against the counter, his head pounding from stress.
“Here,” she said as she slid the hot mug of tea towards him. “You look like you need it.” She left hers to brew and cool down slightly, leaning on the counter next to him. They were silent for a few minutes, Lee absent-mindedly dabbling the teabag around in his drink silently. After a while, Aisha turned to look at him, studying him closely. He looked at her as he noticed her watching him, feeling slightly uneasy.
“What?” He said a little sharply, immediately regretting it as he saw Aisha recoil.
“Nothing,” she muttered, picking up her tea and removing the teabag, placing it in a tub on the counter.
“No, tell me,” he probed a little more gently. She glanced sideways at him and then looked back to her drink as she took a sip.
“It's really nothing... I... I was just going to say Amber's lucky to have you,” she said quietly. Lee fell silent again for a few minutes, going back to his teabag.
“Oh...” Another long silence took over, before finally Aisha moved a little closer to him, those blue eyes watching him once more. Lee didn't say anything this time, merely looking right back at her. The transwoman bit her lip slightly, before leaning up to place a kiss on his lips, only lightly, just to try it. Lee was too stunned to even move, but Aisha recoiled slightly again, putting a hand to her mouth.
“I'm sorry,” she said quickly. “I just... wanted...” she was cut off as she felt a hand on her waist and she was pulled closer to Lee. Before she knew it, she felt his lips on hers. She was tense at first, but when she realised what was happening she relaxed, letting her hands slip around his neck. She pushed against him slightly, but he pushed right back. At last, she thought, a man who knew what he wanted. She felt herself being lifted off the ground, felt a strong hand under her thigh, and then felt the cold wall against her back. He broke away from her lips to kiss her neck, and Aisha tilted her head back slightly. “Are you... sure you want this?” She breathed, digging her nails into his neck. He paused for a moment.
“Yes, why?” he said, looking at her. She grinned and leaned in next to his ear.
“Because I don't just take it, darling.”
