You only need to get laid once. After that, do whatever the hell you want.

The fault of the newer generations' media. Unfortunately the "moral" of their stories are: get a boyfriend/girlfriend, get laid and you will live happily! HA! Happily my arse XD You only get temporary pleasure out of it. You will be sorry by facing the consequences of responsibility at such a young age.
I swear, when I was in 10th grade I was the only virgin (please don't say the whole special snowflake thing, I'm just trying to establish a point here) in class and people were like "GASP! You haven't even dated yet?!" T_T

Thank goodness, there's more people out there with enough sense to realize, just because you're in high school, doesn't mean you need to have sex.

It's true. There are more important things in life than getting laid. I'm in my last year of highschool and neither me nor most of my friends have even had our first kiss. None of us ever got laid and we are fine with that. I think that if my friends and I can get through high school without getting laid other teenagers can also do it.

True...theres more to life, but if you got all that other stuff taken care of then I see nothing wrong with pursuing sex

Eh...I figure it's good to have it somewhere in the middle. people have a right to decide what's important to them. if someone really wants to have sex and can't that is indicative of deeper problems anyway

well, that's the point of the stamp. That life is more than sex.

true...there is more to life than sex. But if you really want sex and your life is otherwise okay then the statement is a bit redundant isn't it?

No actually. There is a difference between living your life and parallel to that have sex...and jsut wanting sex, sex and then some more sex, and want a girl/boyfriend just to tell everyone that you have one.

Now that is a bit obsessive. But I'm speaking about if you already have good friends and family, good grades ins chool and a solid future then theres really nothing wrong with focusing on sex cause those other important things are taken care of

that is different. That is when the important goal in your life is not sex, you just stopped for a bit and wanted sex, but didn't want it from the very beggining.

Well, i sex is the most important thing to you then I don't see why you wouldn't pursue it. Maybe a guy has a knack for medicine and people tell him he should be a doctor or a woman studies legal jargon in her spare time and would make a great attorney. At the end of the day though it is their life and their right to decide what's important in it. and they must face the consequences of that decision

the point of the stamp is not to tell people ehat to do. It just says that "life is more than sex".

Well, many people see sex as a rite of passage, especially since ideally you wouldn't experience it until you are physically, mentally, and emotionally mature enough to handle it and any repercussions. It's sort of like a bar mitzvah except more naked and usually with less people present.
I agree that some people take it too far, but it's an understandable sentiment.

I don't mind if people just want to have sex or are interested in it. The problem is when life is defined based on sex. Then it can cause all sorts of phsychological issues e.t.c. Which is what's going on with teenagers these days. Having a boyfriend has become a status of pride and getting laid by the end of high-school is one of the basic goals many have...

While it may not be the most important thing, it is definitely important, its in our genetic code to want to have sex and experience pleasure and eventually reproduce.

I know. But many kids these days are all "Holly shit! I'm 16! I HAVE to get laid!". I'm not saying it's bad to want to get laid at some point. But making it the whole point of your existance just starts to make it sick....

I know it's natural. But not when you're 13. People are literally DYING to do it. Teenagers these days think that being in a relationship is an important stauts and they get depressed if they're not (atleast most). And from 15+ getting laid is even more important to them.

Actually, it is natural when you are thirteen, we evolved to hit puberty around the time we needed to mate :]
Its in our nature to desire a mate and be depressed without one, its how our species evolved.
However, times have changed, and now we wait til our twenties to marry, unlike it was a hundred years ago :]

I am not saying the shouldn't want to. I am saying that it is sick to make it THE WHOLE POINT OF YOUR EXISTANCE.

Well, it depends on your definition of sick. If by sick you mean an ailment or disease, that's not true because its natural. If you mean sick as in harmful, yes I believe it can be overall harmful to an individual's life.
