The next day in cram school Rin had yet again trouble focusing.
"Damnit Mephisto why'd you have to keep me up all night!?" he said to
himself. "are you alright Rin?" Shiemi asked, patting his back. "ah...
Yeah I'm fine." Rin assured her, even if his hips were killing him and
he was tired as hell. He hated how easily he submitted to Mephisto...
He wasn't going to let it happen again. Suddenly a brightly pink man
walked in and waved at the class. Speak of the Devil. Why the hell was
Mephisto here? "Rin." he said then gestured for him to come to him
"come with me." Rin hesitantly stood up, nervous about why Mephy
wanted him. He walked out of the room with him and Mephisto fixed his
hat before speaking. "Rin I know that Yukio is not here to help you
with controlling your flame, but the council informed me to train you
while he's gone." he giggled "well be spending more time together than
I expected."
Rin scowled, "Damnit!"
"come on! It will be fun! Well start with the excercise you failed
when Yukio was here. to light the two outer candles of three."
"Hey! I burned all his clothes off except underware now that takes skill!"
"... I'm not even going to ask..."
   Mephy took Rin's wrist and dragged him to the training grounds. He
set out three candles, and stepped back from Rin. "you better not burn
off my clothes..." Mephy warned.
"oh would you like it better if I burned off mine!?" Rin retorted.
"Yes! Yes I would."
"don't you dare relate this to what happened last night."
Mephy giggled "just start training."
   Rin concentrated hard and tried signaling the flame toward the
candles, but accidentally made a flame too big and melted all the
candles. Rin was beginning to get impatient and frustrated. Rin
scowled and flopped back on the ground "WHY IS THIS SO FRIGGIN HARD!?"
Rin yelled. Mephy sighed and crawled on top of Rin. "You look like
you're not trying." he said
"I am damnit..."
"really?"
"did you not just see me!?"
"then I guess you really don't want to beat Satan."
"I DO!"
"hmmmm?"
He licked Rin's lips. "you look soft... I need you to look
determined..." he sat up and pulled Rin up by his tie. "more self
confidence." he grinned "now go get em!"
   Rin shook himself off and tried again, this time achieving his
goal. What was that? It was suddenly so easy... Was it Mephisto? It
couldn't be.. He doesn't have the magic to help... Does he? Rin pushed
that out of his head and continued training.
   As the Training continued Mephisto seemed pretty pleased with
himself. Rin didn't seem to have a problem with controlling his flame
after Mephisto's lecture.
   Rin had finished with the training he had assigned early, and
decided to go to the front yard and eat his bento box. But as always
he wish he had some Sukiyaki. Lucky for Rin after the training
Mephisto had some work to attend to, so he wouldn't bother him. He ate
his food alone out in the front yard, which he didn't particuarily
like. So he tried to entertain himself by humming or kicking a rock
with his tail. He tossed the rock back and fourth untill it rolled to
hit somebody's shoe. He looked up to see who it was, and to his
suprise it was the green haired demon, Amaimon. He jumped a bit and
lifted his hands "I don't have the sword!" he said, hoping Amaimon
would go away. Amaimon just stood there, seeming not amused. "so
brother loves you?" he finally said.
"e-eh?"
"Mephisto."
"He doesn't..."
"oh really?"
"...I'm not sure... Actually."
"hmmmm"
"you know you are alot like your brother."
"how?"
"you always ask for the answer you want."
"hmmm..."
Amaimon didn't answer Rin's statement and ran up to him, jumping up
and stepping on his head to get airborne. Rin looked back to see where
Amaimon ran off to, but he was gone.
   The hell was that about? He knew Mephisto didn't love him, because
it would only hurt him in buisness. Of corse what happened last night
was him searching for entertainment and sexual pleasure. Not an act of
love. Is this one way he controlls people? He toys with their minds to
the extent they are begging to know more.
   At this point a new chess game began.
   Rin was sitting at the desk when Mephisto was running late in a
meeting. Mephisto finally opened the door and yelled "IM HOME!" he had
a pretty big smile spread across his face. Not unordinairy. "Welcome
home..." Rin mummbled. Mephisto walked up behind Rin and leaned over
his head and said, "The rich and handsome me is feeling generous
today. What do you want for dinner?"
"I already ate."
"I can get Sukiyaki."
"... I'll have that..."
Mephisto giggled and Stood upstraight and swerved on his heel. "I'll
go to the store and get the supplies, but you have to promise me to
help chopping the vegitables."
"yeah yeah.." Rin grumbled, finishing up his homework.
   By the time Mephisto came back from the store Rin had finished his
homework and was tossing a pencil with his tail. Mephy set the
groceries on the table and called Rin over. "come Rin! Help me with
chopping." Rin went to the kitchen, grabbed an onion and started
chopping. Mephisto didn't do much, but watched Rin with his hair
pinned back and tail swinging. He smiled and wrapped his arms around
behind him. "I heard you were a good cook Rin..." Mephy complimented.
"Id be better if you moved. I don't want to cut you."
"hmmm?" He slowly let go. "but before we go to eat." He turned Rin's
head and  gave him a deep kiss. Mephy then went back to watching.
   Could he really love me? Or is he planning to get more sexual pleasure?
   The Black King moved....
   Rin finally finished cutting the meat and vegitables and brought it
to the table where the grill and raw eggs were. He put the meat and
vegitables on the grill and let them sizzle. Mephy walked out and
smiled, inhailing deeply to take in the smell. Rin was just sitting at
the table, stirring the raw egg in his bowl. Mephy sat down at the
table, across from him and did the same. For the beginning of the meal
it was relatively quiet. Then Mephisto decided to stir up
conversation.
"You finished your homework?"
"The hell are you!? My dad!?"
"I'm your trainer and teacher I have a right to know." he put his
elbows on the table and rested his head in his hands "Dont I?" Rin
just looked away from Mephy, sensing Mephy's attempt to woo. He
continued to eat his sukiyaki, trying to face away from Mephisto.
   Once the grill was empty Mephy turned the flame off and pushed it
aside and stood up to stand behind Rin's chair. Rin set the bowl down
and he felt his chair swivel around.
   The Black King knocked a Red Rook off the board.
   Mephy stared deep down into Rin's eyes. He leaned closer to him,
gripping his tie and grinned. "Mephisto I need some sleep I don't want
to be tired tomorrow."
"don't worry you'll get some sleep."
"how about now?"
"...fine... But just to let you know your bed is gone." Mephisto
seemed pleased about that as usual.
   Rin layed in the bed. He really didn't have any pajamas. He usually
slept in his boxers so he felt uncomfortable laying in the pink bed
with Mephisto. In his head he was begging for Yukio to come home soon.
   Again... That Red Pawn was cornered.
   Mephisto rolled over to wrap his arms around Rin. He pulled him
close. Rim soon figured out that Mephisto was too shirtless, because
he could feel Mephy's warm torso on his back. "Sleep my little
weapon." Mephisto whispered into Rin's ear. Rin moved a bit then
asked, "Mephisto... Do you love me?"
"love you...."
Mephy stayed quiet after that and let go of Rin, rolling to face away
from him. Rin looked over and saw that Mephy may not even know it
himself... But he too was falling.
   Suprisingly the Red Spawn released a move that knocked the Black
King off of the chess board. It wasn't usual, but it was possible that
such a small playing piece could bring down the king.
