Description Beatrice d'Este

For many people, this is seen as Lucrezia Borgia, but in fact she is Beatrice d'Este, one of her sisters in law from Lucrezia's last marriage.

Beatrice d'Este, duchess of Milan, was one of the most beautiful and accomplished princesses of the Italian Renaissance. She was the younger sister of Isabella d'Este and Alfonso d'Este (last Lucrezia's husband).

Beatrice belongs to the best class of Renaissance women, and was one of the cultural influences of the age; to a great extent, her patronage and good taste are responsible for the splendour of the castles and famous buildings in Milan and Lombardy.

She also was one of the renaissance muses. A fresco with her portrait faces da Vinci's Last Supper in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. She is a central character in E. L. Konigsburg's novel, The Second Mrs. Giaconda, in which Konigsburg credits her for indirectly being the inspiration for Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Italian renaissance's dresses are the most beautiful of the renaissance period!
If I could, I would make several different outfits for myself, and this is one of these. XD

you have to remeber though, Lucrezia would have been the epitome of beauty in that time. the light hair, high forhead and pail skin.
