Was listening to Gravel by Ani Difranco while drawing.
If anyone would like to color it, that would be grrreat.

heyy... I seen you said if someone would like to color it, it would be, greattttttt haha... so I took the challenge.. I'm working with a new program, or whatever, and still unsure of how to use it, I'm getting another one actually, cause I don't like it too well... but here is the colored version.. I could've done a bit better though, and I couldn't get rid of the white lines in it... but you sometimes have that when ya upload a sketch and stuff, so noone's fault... hope you like it... and hope I got the hair color right, I had no idea where this character came from or anything, but I had to look for characters by the same name, with sideline characters of Jou... well... Jou basically....so here it is...

the illustartions, are amazing you deffinatly are talented, I seen your interests are animating too... are you going to college for that??

I would've loved to go to college for art, but I'm afraid my family is full of practical people. So I'm doing nursing instead. I figured, I could get a steady nursing job anywhere, then take some art classes or just practice on my own.

Oh no!..... but I guess it does make sense... but the talent you have... I mean I looked at tat picture, and I'm not one whose a fan of that style per se, or the thick shadow outline, but I'll be damned if you didn't open my eyes to it now.... all of your artwork is just to die for, I can't believe it... I mean hell... you'r an artist... into comics I assume, I've seen your favorite movies, and Jim Lee is your favorite artist... AND you like ARReSTeD DeVeLOPMeNT... you are like the perfect girl........

Oh I know exactly how that feels... I get to be in a rush, but only during the parts of stuff I'm anxious for... then i basically run low on fuel... I'm working on a painting right now for a friend, a picture she took while up in Toronto... I got through the hard part, which I screwed up because of my impatience... so now all I have to do is my signature, and some spots here and there, but I've had to do that for the past week.. she's probably wanting this painting sometime at least haha but I've been busy with my own animations and stuff...
but where would I be able to see your newest pictures in action?? they look really cool

OH see do I thought the same thing, but you can do the poor-man's copywrite.... which is gather up everything, all the copies of your work and stuff, put it in a box, and mail it to yourself, keeping the packaging in tact, and the time stamp on it, then if any legal issues come up, take it to court as evidence... let them open it, and see... but mine is actually two.. a childrens one, and one along the lines of King of the Hill... about this G-Nerd, who basically goes from Riches to Rags, alot like ARReSTeD DeVeLOPMeNT.. I've got alot of their subtle humor in there, and stuff... and my childrens one, is kind of top secret, maybe I'll message it to ya on Myspace or something.... it's really cool, the main thing behind it for me, is going back to old school hand drawn animation... y'know.. something you can take pride in...
and I was actually working on a comic too... Ultimate Batman - Episode One: Murders, Mad Hatters, and Bats...
but the script was soo weak I didn't see any faith in it, i had some great ideas for it, but only got the hard versions of the pages done...
but on the children's cartoon... me and the co-creator who was actually the one who came up with the title, which is what the show is all about, we're going to be lookig for an agent, which reminds me, I have to send him the script of the pilot... and the sketches I did of the characters, and the character biography... that's how I got involved, he wanted me to draw the characters but I ended up doing one more, put them in a universe, and gave them names, and a backstory.... put it all together in the pilot... the other one... I'm working on the fifth episode's script right now... about ready to scrap it... and wow I am talking too much.... you don't want to read all this haha so I'll shut up haha

I have an idea for your Batman thing, add Scarecrow! Lol, I don't know if you even like the character, but he's been one of my faves since like, second grade or younger, and I never see enough comics with him in it...And I drew pictures for my friend's children's book two years ago, but he got so nervous he didn't meet with his editor and just pushed it aside. Which made me kinda mad since I did all this work for him...whatev.

OH.. are you kidding me?? I love the scarecrow.. so glad to see him in Batman Begins too.. and hope to hell he comes back in the Dark KNight... too bad we won't find out at the comic con her in the next week... but He's listed as coming back, or rumoured to be coming back on [link]
OH my god I know exactly how you feel about the work being pushed aside... they have no idea how much work and mental frustration goes into each picture, then to turn around and go well you're talented it should come easy.... bullshit it does...
and the next Batman Comic dealy.. well this first Episode was actually setting up for Two-Face and Ramone Sionis... aka the Black Mask to be in the second Episode which I was so anxious to do... then hopefully get around to the Scarecrow... cause like you I had been obsessed with him for like ever... haha
