I have always thought about what I would do if I knew the world was ending around me. This is my answer.This is part 1 of a series of 3.

Very nice combination of the single elements and (I think) different techniques. The curtain looks kind of... painted to me. But I like that. You convey a wonderful atmosphere with this one. I only don't know why you put in that random smoke in the lower left corner. Where does it come from? Why is it there?

The entire thing is painted. Some of the elements (like the building in the background) was a photo that I "destroyed" and then painted over, thus the mixed media section.
The smoke is coming through the slight opening in the window. It was my hope to show that her serenity is so strong, even with the noxious smoke creeping in the room, because she truly knows its the end. Not even that can make her freak out.

You know what? I certainly would not have guessed that. My thought really was that it's a photomanipulation with painted elements. She just looks so extremely real. Now that I read the title (I should have read it earlier .__.) I understand the meaning of it. Thanks for pointing that out. It's actually quite a deep work

Awesome mood, I really like that feeling I get, its sad, girl looks kind of a sad, that smoke or dust too but its beautiful too, that red sky, even if it's because end of the world, that sky still looks beautiful.

Thank you very much! I truly love it when someone looks at this and feels something. It means that as an artist, I have done my job. That is smoke coming in the window by the way. I think its a picture of the last couple of moments before it engulfs her.
