Ooh, such a nice species design! I really, really like your coloring/shading-- as usual.
You ought to break away from outlines. I mean, look at his flank and mane regions! They're totally clear, and have no outline at all! Contrast that with the bugger's eyeball and horn, where the outlines kind of make him look more... not cartoony, kind of video-gamey. As my art teacher always said-- in real life, things don't have outlines; they're a crutch for weak artists and cartooning in general. You can handle real life.

Well, I have to have outlines for this. For adoptables, you color each differently using the same shading and lineart, and the easiest way to do that is being able to select everything outside the outline and magic eraser the excess away. So while I do, very much, agree with you and try very hard to not use outlines in my "real" art, in this case it was intentional, even though it is detremental.
