First off, let me tell you that I love the way that lines are used in your art. I like how in this piece, the lines seem to be an actual object either coming out of her hands or as something that she's holding. I also like how her shoes (boots?) have a different colored series of lines on them to make them seem as part of her outfit. About the mother, she seems tired. Her face seems to look devoid of any emotion. The way that her shoulders are hunched makes her seem like she's bracing herself from either harsh winds or cold insults. Either way, it's a really good piece and I like it.

Very nice piece with great attention to detail, the cracks in coloring and coloring itself are very impressive. The dark colors blend in nicely with lighter ones coming closer to the main figure, which is well done as well. The only thing I'd really improve is the right hand, the bent finger and the thumb seem sort of off. Other than that, this is a really nice piece that, once again, focuses greatly on detail and colors that go great with the piece. I can also appreciate the time you spent on this, because this would kill me at the very least, haha.

Fascinating style, and the facial expression is very evocative for the simplicity of line. The effect I am most struck by is how the headpiece seems to almost be a cut-out into a different space. At first glance it seems to flatten the form from the 3-dimensionality created by the curved line-art of the body and the subtle shading on the background, but once the eyes focus on the white lines against the black, the black turns into the negative space and the white lines have form...very fun to look at!

Black Window
Not to contradict, but to offer the suggestion of resemblance between webbing and the matrix of cracks in glass as in a window or mirror,
and of someone vigilant at peace in the interstice between seemingly-contradictory worlds.Β

this is very beautiful; I love the tangled web lines and how you show that Mother has her fingers on all of them, controlling everything. She doesn't look very warm and loving at all though and with her eyes closed, she's just not interested in all that she controls.

very thought-provoking picture, great art Β

I am taken by this. I love your style.
Great colour is what I would say if I was to offer a critique, but all I can say is that the tone and soul of this piece is very pleasing to me. The lines, or "cracks" really make it. It is such a calm thing, all told. And the elegant features just make the chaos bow it's head and slink away. Really excellent contrast of themes. But as this is not an attempt at critique, I love it. Thank you.
Beautiful work.
