I love how simple yet powerful this piece is. The emphasis is on the hand and pinecone being held which does the job and I like the blurred background of the person and sand. I also really like the contrast between the sand in the foreground with the background. The only change I would be interested in seeing is perhaps cropping in the edges more and allowing the background person to take up more of the space. Overall I really like this piece. I would also be interested in seeing what this piece would look like in color if you have that available.
