I was always wondering if the sand on Arrakis should be in shades of blue instead... But that doesn't take anything from this piece being great!

I already own quite a few versions of the books, but seeing this, it seems unavoidable that I'll buy one more.
I know books shouldn't be bought because of the cover, but your work is always so gorgeous *and* related to the story, that I'm pretty sure you're quite an asset for selling books.

This looks incredible... my only minor gripe is that the sky isn't black. It's the one thing that artwork of Dune misses, is that the sky is black even during the day.

You're right, but this illustration happens in "Dune messiah", where Arrakis' terraformation has already been started, just the south of Arrakis keeping its deserts.
That's why I lightened the "dark silvered gray of the sky", but it still may be too light maybe...
