Description I messed up on this one so bad.. I was aiming for the dye to drip off of the petal, about 2 hours wasted.. anyway, I learned what I need and the fact that not a lot of flower shops had white in stock (I only found 2 at 7 locations, so I bought them both).. I can do this again... next time, I'll be a bit more prepared. I did come away with some ideas for next time. The ones that I like that I am not going to put on here are going on my other site.

hey you did the white well done, its really nice but i agree with everyone about the dye, just kinda looks a bit random, the rose even looks fake, in a good way, it looks like a painting or somthing. im off now to check out your site

Yea, what I wanted to do for this one, when I get around to doing it right, is have the drop come out of the center of the bloom.. but hey, experimentation is the best way to learn... unless it has to do with farm animals.. then you should consult a psychiatric physician.

Loved the photo's on your other website. Least if you came away with some ideas it's not time wasted! Can't wait to see you're next attempt.

And I want to thank you for commenting on there as well, especially on my niece. That's one of my favorite pics of her... She's almost 4 now and she doesn't like to give up the pacifier. I tell my sister about it everytime, but to no avail. Although Amber says she's giving it up when the new baby is born in September... so maybe.. if not, it'll be another 14 years of binkie shots..

No thanks needed for the comments. As for the dummy (er pacifier) I'm sure she'll give it up soon. Don't all the other kids give her a hard time? Anyway when the new baby comes she'll want to show everyone that she's the BIG girl....

The rose looks fantastic, but you're right. It's a pity about the dye. I'm off to check out the other ones now.

I wasn't pleased about the bloom, but I had to make due. I have some ideas for the next time and that is better than walking away empty headed.

Thanks.. first, the rose had a very closed bloom, which I didn't like. I think the next time I try this, I'm going to special order a dozen or so nice full blooms and get a hypodermic (is it hypo or hyper?) needle and place it into the back of the petals where it can't be seen and allow the drip to happen that way... One of the pics had a lot of food dye on the mirror and when I ran the rose through it, it kind of resembled a pool of blood.... gave me 2 or 3 ideas....

I'm glad you liked it enough to it.

its hypodermic, and yeah closed blooms are sometimes hard to deal with. When i get a house i am growing roses, i love them that much, and they are not easy to grow.
