I saw this probably over a year ago, when I had just gotten into Gravity Falls. I thought it was terrific, and still do- I especially love the panel with the autumn leaves, because it kind of hits you in the gut. It's a quieter way to end the summer. Not with a bang, but with a very real realization that the time has just slipped away.
The reason I specifically commented tonight, though...I was at a party tonight, and having a rotten time. I knew no one, my attempts at having conversations had all failed, I was too tired to dance. And then they played a bit of this song, so I remembered this and how beautiful it was. And I sat down and started to read it on my phone. And then I just thought- What the hell am I doing? I stood up and danced by myself for pretty much the next two hours straight, and had a great time. So, thank you. Hope you enjoy knowing you didn't just create a beautiful piece of art, but helped someone out quite a bit!

this means so much to me because a long time ago right after my mom gave birth to my little sister she danced to this song at a church and she did beautifully (when she hears the song she always says "i was so fat" XD) i love your work with paint (is this watercolors? I think?) this really captures the innocence and wonder of the pines twins

lately i've been looking for a LOT of gravity falls fan stuff. i must say of all of them this one gave me feels, feels towards my childhood, wich i dont even remember anymore, how i would loved to have a house in an green spot like that and walk and play and stuff. the first time i read this i didnt know if the song existed or u wrote the poem too, so i invented a little melody in my head while reading this. maybe ill write it someday. anyway you dont have to answer to this, seeing how i surely made things awkward by reciting the problems in my life.
beautiful drawing and the mix between that and the lyrics is what makes this what it is
